About CCGA Prince Rupert

The CCGA is the nationwide organization of volunteers. CCGA was formed by the Canadian Coast Guard in 1978. We are a nationwide organisation of volunteers.
Unit 64 Prince Rupert is a part of CCGA - Pacific Region. In addition, we are one of the most northern remote locations on the BC coast, which makes our unit a very valuable resource in time of crisis. Prince Rupert Marine Rescue services to commercial, recreational and tourist users of the waters surrounding Prince Rupert and the North Coast. Unit 64 volunteers go on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year and respond within minutes in order to assist someone in distress.

Prince Rupert Marine Rescue is a charitable organisation that run Type 2 Falkins Class Vessel- (see Our Vessel for more details)
